I recently got my tatau nima (hand tattoo) done by Jordon at Underground Ink NZ, and it was an experience I’ll never forget.
This wasn’t just a tattoo it was a piece of my Tongan heritage. Jordon approached it with the faka‘apa‘apa (respect) it deserved. From the first consultation to the final wipe down, he carried himself with humility and took time to understand the ‘uhinga (meaning) behind every line.
The space had a calm, focused māfana energy. I felt relaxed and connected the whole time never rushed. Jordon’s attention to detail, steady hand, and ability to blend traditional elements with a clean, modern style was next level.
My tatau is more than ink it’s identity, legacy, and pride. I’m thankful I found someone who brought it to life with real lototo (humility) and skill.
